Overview

Gangtok is Extremely alluring, pleasantly boisterous and wreathed in clouds. It is the capital city of the Sikkim, also give a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, at a distant skyline. The meaning of Gangtok is Hill-top. This place can be safely said to be one of the most beautiful hill stations in the country.

Darjeeling is a hill resort, and the city's economy is based largely on tourism; the peak periods for visitors are April to June and September to November. The city has major road, rail, and air connections with Kolkata

Itinerary

Day 1
Day 01: Arrival NJP Railway station / IXB Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok
On arrival at Njp railway station / IXB Bagdogra airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (125 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs). Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure.Overnight stay at Gangtok
Day 2
Day 02: Tsongmo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tsongmo Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way from Gangtok) &through Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary and Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tsongmo Lake) (no entry for foreigner national, they are allowed to visit till Tsongmo Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is number to visit Tsongmo Lake). Situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 3
Day 03: Gangtok To Lachen transfer
After breakfast in the morning transfer to Lachen – Drive 135 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours’ drive – via Chungthang reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening - it’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek – In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards – A hamlet with very few people – It almost like this town is hidden from the outside – Like a Shangri - La – Check into a hotel - Welcome Tea – Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 4
Day 04: Half Day Excursion To Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung
Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 2½ - 3½ hours’ drive - A valley at an altitude of 11, 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake - Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch – Afternoon drive to Lachung - The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu are the other places of interest - Back to hotel for lunch - After lunch proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and two hours’ drive – Check into hotel at Lachung - Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery - Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 5
Day 05: Lachung Sightseeing + Gangtok Transfer (Yumthang Valley)
After breakfast you leave for Yumthang (Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April, May and June the valley erupts in a riot of colours as rhododendrons, primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In winters, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the ethereal beauty) one way. You can pay a visit to the famous hot spring on the way. After that transfer to Gangtok. Overnight stay in Gangtok
Day 6
Day 06: Gangtok To Darjeeling transfer
After breakfast, transfer to Darjeeling (97 Kms / 3 Hrs 36 min). Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 7
Day 07: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early morning excursion to tiger hill (8364 ft / 2550 mts) at 3:45 pm for viewing kanchendzonga peak (if the weather is favorable) while returning visit ghoom monestry batasia loop peace memorial. After breakfast at her hotel you will depart for Half day city tour of Darjeeling. This includes sightseeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at Darjeeling
Day 8
Day 08: Darjeeling To IXB Airport / NJP Railway station drop
