Overview

Kalimpong is a town in East Indian hill town of the Himalayas. It’s perched on the ridge above the Teesta River. It lies at an altitude of 1250 metre overlooking the valley of Teesta. It is renowned for its panoramic views, Buddhists monasteries, churches and unique handicrafts.

This is a major tourist point which is maintained by the Indian Army. The daunting roads and the river of Teesta can be viewed through the wired fences. It offers a splendid view of the snow capped Mount Kanchenjunga and the Jeepla pass.
